EFFECTIVE DATE: This act shall take effect on the thirtieth day after   07/03/2007 signed chap.111

  1. This bill provides county and municipal employees around the state a maximum of four hours excused leave annually to obtain a screening for prostate cancer. In addition, this bill provides municipal employees around the state a maximum of four hours excused leave annually to obtain a screening for breast cancer.

  2. SUMMARY OF SPECIFIC PROVISIONS:

    This bill amends section 159-b of the civil service law to allow municipal employees to take an excused leave for breast cancer screening. This bill also amends S 159-c of the civil service law to allow municipal employees to take an excused leave for prostate cancer screening.

    Instructions::

    . Employee fills out Personal Day Form
    . Check "Other" Box and provide details, i.e. MAMMOGRAM
    . Completed approved form does NOT go to Payroll.
    . Provide to your Supervisor
    . Keep a copy for your records
    Employee shouldn't get charged any Personal Time for this.
